Getting started with your Tiger Modular garden room
The hardest part is deciding what you want to use your garden room for – Study, gym, spa or chill zone. No doubt every family member will have their own ideas for the space – once you’ve decided which is best, we’ll turn it into a reality for you.
Our 3D design software allows you to see what your room will look like from every angle so that it can be planned to perfection. When you’re happy with the design, we get to work manufacturing your garden room in our very own UK workshop.
Because all the hard work is done offsite, the build part of your project from foundations to finish can be completed quickly and efficiently – often within a week. Then all that’s left to do is for you to enjoy your new space.

How much will my garden room cost?
At Tiger Modular, we don’t have a one size fits all price because every studio is tailored to suit different budgets, size requirements and design ideas. We’ve constructed garden rooms from as little as £10,000 right up to £60,000.
Is it possible to add a storage room to the garden room?
Absolutely, we can create a storage area as a separate room or integrated with the main space.
Do I need planning permission for a standalone garden room?
In most instances, planning permission is not required. Garden Rooms usually fall within permitted development rights when constructed to the stipulated guidance – the main criteria being a maximum height of 2.5m when within 2m of a boundary.
There are restrictions if you live within a listed building boundary, area of national beauty or green belt, and if you want a taller building. But don’t worry, our experts will take care of any planning conditions so your dream garden room can still be realised.
Will it be covered by my home and content insurance?
It is always best to check with your current insurer – insuring the building and contents is at your own discretion.
Considerations will include how secure your garden is, what equipment is stored inside and whether there are any hazards nearby (for example, large trees or becks).
All our studios have British standard locks and are manufactured to a high-security standard with walls 220mm thick.
Are there any design limitations?
Not really – the size and layout of your garden will be a factor, but other than that we can pretty much build any shape, size or layout in all kinds of colours and finishes. If it’s possible, we’ll make it happen.
