Health & Care Sector

Beautiful, inviting timber structures that inspire serenity…

The demand for health and social care is increasing rapidly, and a growing number of care homes need additional space.

Our timber structures are the perfect way to create the extra space you need. They are custom designed in any size and shape – the only restriction is the amount of land you have available.

And because we do all the pre-fabrication offsite, it means the on-site build times are far shorter than with traditional bricks and mortar structures. In fact, on-site construction time is often under ten days. This means minimal disruption for your staff, patients, residents and visitors.

All the buildings are fully guaranteed, and internal walls can be finished with wipe-down hygiene surfaces to help keep patients and visitors safe.

FAQs

What are the buildings made of?

We use a hybrid of materials, but predominately a structural timber frame built up with two layers of insulation and other general building components. Floors are made up of an adjustable structural engineered pile system that supports pre-assembled joist cassettes. These are then overlaid with insulation and protective flooring sheets. Internal walls can be finished with plaster, wipe-down hygiene surface, painted glass, real brick cladding or a range of other materials.

What are the design limitations?

All our studios are custom built, so there are no restrictions on size or shape. We offer a wide range of external finishes, so you can choose a style and colour that suits the surroundings. Plus, we can reinforce walls, floors and ceilings should you need to hang heavy equipment or install machines, and we can ensure complete accessibility for wheelchair users.

How long will the buildings last?

These aren’t temporary structures. They are built to last. All our modular buildings come with long guarantees – up to 40 years for the roof, a minimum of 25 years on the structure itself. But with proper maintenance, every element will easily outlive any guarantees. We use precision technology to manufacture your building and then install to the highest standards, creating a safe, welcoming environment for your staff, visitors, residents and patients.
